The two-man musical masterpiece that is Jamie Macdowell and Tom Thum return to the Adelaide fringe in 2019 with two shows in the Garden of Unearthly Delights.
Like listening to a ten-man band, but armed only with a guitar and a multi-instrumental voice box. Jamie and Tom exploded onto our stages nearly five years, exuding joy and defying expectations as they form a hybrid of musical notes and styles across beatbox boundaries and guitar melodies.
One a master with his fingers, the other a musical linguist - this world-renowned duo have entertained audiences from Glastonbury in the UK, to Park Acoustics in South Africa, Zermatt Festival in Switzerland, Falls Festival, and Underbelly Hong Kong. Jamie and Tom have taken their unique sound across the globe.

Tom Thum is a world renowned beatbox artist whose TED talk, Beatbox Brilliance, is the most watched TED Talk of all time, sitting at a cool 67 million views. Jamie Macdowell’s songs are warm, wry, and witty, blending cool beach folk and old-school hip-hop, mixed in with some reggae-pop in a guitar fueled musical rhythm.
In an exclusive run of ten Adelaide Fringe shows, which are sure to sell out, Jamie and Tom will deliver new material, old gags and a kaleidoscope of musical masterpieces that will delight and amaze.

In an Australian exclusive Jamie and Tom will be teaming up with two of the UK’s great musical powerhouses, Billy Boothroyd (Submotion Orchestra), and three-time UK beatbox champion Ball-Zee, for a brand-new show set to break the sound barrier - As Yet Unheard.
A mixture of original tunes and genre-bending covers, the talent in this quartet is next level. Fusing pop, folk and old school hip-hop sensibilities, and oodles of charm, this UK-AUS collaboration is set to become the next festival favourite.
