With a program of over 300 live music events spread across more than 100 Adelaide venues, Umbrella: Winter City Sounds can look a bit overwhelming. There are so many acts to get out and see this winter as July becomes the new festival month for Adelaide, stepping up to the rival 'Mad March'.

Monkey House | Gunson Street Carpark | 29 July
Swirl Records and Ghostnote Studios proudly present an evening of straight AUS Garage and Punk. Aptly named ‘MONKEY HOUSE’ this will be a primal celebration in the concrete jungle of Adelaide's Gunson St carpark.
Featuring: Horror My Friend, Dumb Punts, Hideous Sun Demon, SIAMESE, Goon Wizard and hot mess.
Scouted | Producers Bar, Crown & Anchor | 28 July
Scouted showcases some of Adelaide's best upcoming unsigned bands. Set to coincide with the AIR Awards this is an opportunity for some of our brightest talents to show off their skills in front of an audience filled with industry leaders.
Featuring: Battlehounds, Young Offenders, Electric Fields, Timberwolf, Alana Jagt and more.
Shaolin Afronauts | The Gov | 27 July
Shaolin Afronauts present an epic expanded ensemble of 18 musicians performing original works from Quest Under Capricorn in their entirety as well as new works that mark the development of the group over the past five years.
Golden Era X Bad Apples | Rocket Bar | 27 July
Hosted by A.B. Original, and presented by Briggs' Bad Apples Records and the Adelaide record label started by the notorious Hilltop Hoods, Golden Era Records.
Golden Era X Bad Apples will be showcasing some of Australia's best up and coming hip hop artists. Featuring performances from K21, Purpose and Birdz with some surprises to be expected.
